We finally escaped the adventure and excitement of Berlin and headed north to Rügen, Germany's largest
island on the North Sea. After a 3 hour drive we arrived in Sellin on the eastern coast. It's a busy little town
that was full of tourists and people enjoying the local Kurorte (health spas). We stayed with Anne's cousin Gerti
and her husband Ralf. They enjoy an annual holiday on the island and invited us to stay with them this summer.
