The construction of the St. Marien Kirche originally began in 1250. It is the 3rd
largest church in Germany. It was nearly destroyed during World War II but has
been completely rebuilt. The 2 large bells that fell during a 1942 bombing are
still displayed where they landed. The astronomical clock no longer works
