The Bremen Marktplatz is a popular destination. The Rathaus (1405) and St. Peter's Cathedral (789) dominate
the skyline. A statue of Roland, the city protector, with his sword of justice and imperial eagle shield is in front
of the Rathaus. Right around the corner is the famous statue of Die Stadtmusikanten, or Bremen Town Musicians. The Ratskeller is home to the 12 oldest wines in the world, stored in their original barrels in the Apostel chamber.
