Bremen Böttcherstraße
On the south side of the Marketplatz is the Böttcherstraße. This pedestrian area stretches to the River Weser
and is only 100m long. It is one of the city's main visitor destinations. It was rebuilt from 1922-1931 by Ludwig
Roselius, a coffee magnet. Some of the buildings are classic examples of Brick Expressionism. The area contains
museums, cafes, a casino and hotel. The Haus Atlantis, designed by Bernhard Hoetger in 1930-31, is now a Hilton.
